The art academy collections: learning from objects

Symposium:

The art academy collections - learning from objects

How can we use study collections today, and how well do we really know them?

The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Visual Arts in Copenhagen invites to a symposium about the many rare and common study objects filling the art school’s corridors, classrooms, exhibition and storage rooms. Through different perspectives across art educations and cultural heritage institutions the symposium points at and discusses new values, ways of using and forms of knowledge drawn from the engagement with collected objects in an art educational setting.
