The Laboratory of Painting and Color

The Laboratory for painting and colour works with colour and its place in the visual arts - practically, aesthetically and theoretically. The ambition is to support the awareness and understanding of the use of colour and how this can be applied by the students in their own work.

Practical use of colour will be explored alongside an analytical discussion of the student's work and colour use in relation to individual ambitions. Relevant historical and contemporary art will also be discussed in terms of how and why color has been used.
