Information Meeting: Application Process for PhD and Postdoc Projects

Are you interested in applying for a practice-based, artistic PhD? Are you an active visual artist or curator and interested in using your practice as a research method to acquire new knowledge? Or are you an art historian who wishes to develop a research project in the proximity of an existing, vibrant artistic environment? Well, now you have the opportunity to find out more.

On Thursday 15 September at 2.30 pm, the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts is holding an information meeting for anyone interested in learning more about the process of applying for research projects via the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF) for PhDs and postdocs. The scholarships are based on collaboration between the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and a relevant university. The various institutions will attend the information meeting. The event will take place in the Hirschsprung Auditorium of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. There will also be the option of taking part via Zoom.

On the day, the acting head of the Laboratory for Art Research, Maibritt Borgen (Associate Professor) will give a general introduction to the application process and talk about research at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. A representative from NNF will talk about processes and rules, together a representative from the University of Copenhagen’s Department of Arts and Cultural Studies.
