Opening & talk: Simone Aaberg Kærn - "Batalje"

At the opening of Simone Aaberg Kærn's exhibition "Batalje" (Skirmish) at Kunsthal Charlottenborg on October 5 not only a seven meter long, tri-part painting of the Danish war effort in Libya is revealed, but also a sketch that was rejected by the Museum of National History, who originally commisioned the painting.

Kærn’s tripartite painting illustrates the war in Libya based on Kærn’s own observations as well as quotes from art history and the work of contemporary war photographers.
