In its 11th year, the PULSAR Festival is the Royal Danish Academy of Music’s annual platform to showcase student work. This year, the Royal Danish Art Academy continues its collaboration with the Music Academy in PULSAR, presenting 9 days of free concerts, performances and installed works at Charlottenborg by students of both academies. Focused on a wide range of approaches to sound and music composition, performance and installation, the festival presents work in the form of experimental body treatments, sonified architectural drawing, and immersive, multi-channel sound pieces. The exhibition celebrates the myriad ways sound mediates experience.
Held in Festsalen at Charlottenborg, Kongs Nytorv 1, from March 8th to the 16th, the PULSAR exhibit at the Royal Danish Art Academy is free and open to the public. Performances take place during the opening on Wednesday March 8th from 17.00 – 21.00, Friday March 10th 16.30 – 18.30, Tuesday March 14th 16.00 – 18.30 and during the closing event on Thursday March 16th 17.00 – 21.00.
