As a new student on either the Bachelor's or Master's programme, you will receive information about introductory events and the start of the semester from the Academy of Fine Arts by email.
If you are already a student at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, you will hear more about the start of the semester from your department.
Joint opening event for all students and staff at the Academy of Fine Arts - ‘Opening of the Schools’
Every year on the first weekday in October, the Academy of Fine Arts organises a joint celebration of the new school year for all students and staff. The event takes place in the Academy's ballroom with speeches, presentations and entertainment and ends with a light lunch.

Admission 2024
This year there were 511 applicants to the Academy's Bachelor of Fine Arts programme, of which 23 were admitted.
For the Master of Fine Arts programme this year, there were 188 external applicants, of which 8 were admitted.
