Guidelines for the project description

  • Length: 2-3 pages of 2400 keystrokes per page including spaces and characters

 
Introduction

  • Project title
  • Positioning of the project: artistic, thematical, historical, geographical, material-specific etc.
  • Main research question or hypothesis – what will the project examine

 
Status of the research

  • What is the most important research in the area - in Denmark and internationally?
  • How does your project relate to previous practice based and/or academic research as well as artistic investigations (eg. research in cultural institutions)?
  • How does your project relate to and develop your artistic practice in coherence with academic research?
  • Is there any societal relevance to the project?
  • What research environments can your project be part of – both nationally and internationally?

 
Theoretical framework for the project 

  • Present and justify your choice of theoretical framework

 
Choice of methods

  • Give a brief description of the methods you want to use: e.g. material investigations, use of media-specific modes of expression or technologies, quantitative/qualitative approaches, interviews, workshops, development of performative formats etc.
  • Explain your methodological approach
  • Selection of data: what is to be studied? Own works, focus groups, archives, material etc.
