International collaborations and staff exchanges
The visual arts schools have a number of European and overseas partners. The Schools of Visual Arts are also part of several international collaboration projects.
KUNO
The visual arts schools are part of KUNO. KUNO is an ambitious Nordplus network consisting of 18 art education institutions in the Nordic-Baltic countries. By collaborating on a wide range of project activities, the member institutions commit to the continued development of higher art education in the region. Funding for KUNO is granted by the Nordic Council of Ministers through the Nordplus program, and KUNO's activities are regulated by THE KUNO COLLABORATION AGREEMENT.
KUNO provides support for student mobility, teacher mobility and the development of collaborative projects. Support can also be applied for to cover travel costs.
Erasmus program
The visual arts schools also participate in the EU education program, Erasmus+ program. The Erasmus program supports the exchange of students, teachers and staff between European countries. The Erasmus+ program includes all EU countries, EEA countries and the candidate country Turkey. The Schools of Visual Arts continuously enter into partnerships with art education institutions.
