Important dates
The next application deadline for admission to the Academy of Arts (study start in September 2024) is 9, February 2024, at 12:00 pm noon.
We open for applications on Thursday 4, January 2024.
If you are planning to apply for admission to the Academy of Fine Arts, you are welcome to our Open House event, which will take place on Friday 19, January 2024. More information will follow, but we expect the event to last from 10:00 am. to 12:00 pm.

Being a student at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts
In the spring of 2022, nine graduate students opened the doors to the workshops and studios at the Academy. You can hear the students talk about their artistic practice and what it is like to work on their graduation projects.
Every year in April and May, the MFA graduate students of the Academy of Fine Arts present their graduation projects in a large exhibition at Kunsthal Charlottenborg in Copenhagen. The graduation exhibition is the finalization of the visual arts education at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Visual Arts.
In the three videos below, you meet students at the Academy of Fine Arts’ workshops; the print workshops, the photography workshop and the ceramics workshop, as well as you can see and hear more about how the students work in their studios around the Academy.
