A cinematic journey of discovery through landscapes and architecture of St.. Croix.
Artist Søren Lose explores the architectural landscapes of St. Croix
Tales from Paradise is based on a trip to the island of St. Croix in the Caribbean, the largest island in the former Danish West Indian colonies. The island was the center of the slave trade and the lucrative sugar exports from approximately 1750 - 1850, a business which brought trade men and the Danish government's fortunes. In eight epic chapters examine artist Søren Lose island's complex identity. Living residents' stories intertwine with historical travelogues while the face takes us through seductive paradisiacal landscapes and architecture, full of hopelessness and decay.
On May 3 pm. 17:30 introduced the film by director Søren Lose.
