A keening. Animal droning. Hag blues. Intimate metal. Moon hymns. A dirge. O Death. For my mother, who was a Pisces (March 2, 1955 – April 30, 2018).

On the occasion of Hedva's performance, The Laboratory for Aesthetics and Ecology has translated and published their text 'Sick Woman Theory' into Danish. The publication will be available for purchase at a special launch price after the performance.

Johanna Hedva is a Korean-American who was raised in Los Angeles by a family of witches, and now lives in LA and Berlin. They are the author of the novel, On Hell (2018, Sator Press), and their writing has been published in Triple Canopy, The White Review, and Black Warrior Review. Their performances have been shown at Performance Space New York, Wysing Arts Centre, High Desert Test Sites, and the Getty’s Pacific Standard Time. Their album The Sun and the Moon was released in March; some of its tracks were played on the moon in the Museum of Contemporary Art on the Moon.

Notes: Earplugs will be provided. The performance is 45 minutes. 
Accessibility: Hirschsprung Auditorium is accessible by a lift from the courtyard, and access routes including toilet facilities are clearly signposted. Toilet facilities are all-gender accessible.
